This bath is in the city center of Yalova, but the construction date of it is not exactly known. In Byzantine resources, a bath which was built by the emperor Iustinianus II (705-711) is mentioned. In the ligh of this information, it is said that this bath was built in the middle of the 6th century. This bath, which was also used in Ottomans time was ruined by the time. Sultan Abdülhamid II restorated this bath in the25th  anniversary of his throne between the years 1876 and 1909. The bath is covered with lead during this restoration, that’s why it is called Kurşunlu Hamamı( Bath with lead).

The bath is made of broken stones and contains cooling room, warm room and hot room. The cooling room and hot room are covered with domes and there are bathrooms on the sides of hot room.
